PROCESS
TYPEFACE
For the primary typeface, I aimed for a thick and bold aesthetic. Kiln Sans features a font variant characterized by spikes along its sides, imparting a distinctive visual element. As for the secondary typeface, I selected a refined serif named Athelas. The juxtaposition of these two typefaces ensures a harmonious equilibrium, allowing for both visual interest and clear hierarchical distin
COLOR PALETTE
For the color palette, I incorporated a burnt orange predominantly utilized to signify Tommy's presence, notably represented by flames. To counterbalance the vibrancy of this bold color, I introduced an off-white hue and a dark washed black.
GRAPHICS
For the creation of the icons, I initially sketched out concepts using Procreate, followed by refining them in Adobe Illustrator. Utilizing white and black as primary colors, I adjusted the
transparency of the black to achieve a balanced and contrasting design.
SOLUTION
FRONT COVER
For the front cover, I opted for the inclusion of a film camera as a symbol representing Pamela's aspirations within the realm of acting. The vintage film camera serves as an emblem of her journey in the Hollywood landscape. Tommy is represented by the flames that are engulfing the film camera. Tommy was known to be wild and unpredictable as well as cause chaos wherever he went.
BACK COVER
For the back cover, I sought to incorporate secondary icons that continue to symbolize the essence of the couple. A spotlight is chosen to represent Pamela, signifying her presence in the limelight, while for Tommy, flames are utilized as a visual motif aligning with his persona.
