MAMMA MIA WINE LABEL

DESIGN BRIEF

For this project, I assumed the pivotal role of creating a branding solution for a distinguished wine label. This entailed a comprehensive orchestration of strategic initiatives aimed at imbuing the brand with a distinctive identity, resonating authentically with its target audience while navigating the complexities of the competitive wine market landscape.

MY SOLUTION

Since the wine brand's target audience was new mothers looking for a healthy escape, I knew I wanted to include fruit aspects to appeal to the health benefits. From there my design came to life.

PROCESS

SKETCHES

My initial sketch process contained lots of floral and fruity patterns. I wanted the label to speak to new mothers and to me that meant including health attributes. I felt the fruity label spoke more to target audience.

TYPEFACE

As the cornerstone of my typographic selection, I opted for the elegant and minimalist Fino Sans. This choice was complemented by the addition of the serif typeface Marlide, strategically employed to introduce a sense of

equilibrium and sophistication to the overall design composition.

COLOR PALETTE

Since the imagery is centered around fruits, the resulting color palette adopted a lively and vibrant aesthetic. To refine this palette, I used Photoshop to temper the brightness of these hues, ensuring a more nuanced and balanced visual presentation.

SOLUTION

FRUIT DESIGN

On Photoshop, I took some stock imaes of fruits and applied a color overlay to create a simplier fruit image. I then added a grainy texture to create some texture.

WINE BOTTLE & BAG

For my main mockup, I included the wine bottle featuring the label. With this, I included a wine bag with a more minimalistic approach while still embodying the main logo.

BACK LABEL

For the back of the wine label, I chose to include a brand statement, informing consumers about Mamma Mia. I also added foods that pair well with this specific Rose. I wanted the back to be cohesive with the front, so I included some fruit as well.
